During the past three weeks, several members of our church have tested positive for COVID-19 and others have become sick and suspect that they could be COVID positive. All members who tested positive or have experienced symptoms are following health department guidelines for quarantining along with their family members. Those with whom they were in close proximity have already been contacted. Thankfully, nobody who has contracted the virus has experienced severe symptoms.
Out of an abundance of caution and concern that more members of our church could potentially have their health, work, and family life negatively impacted by COVID-19, we are taking a pause on all in-person gatherings for two weeks. Our next in-person gathering will be Sunday, November 22nd. This will serve to halt any potential transmission within our church and the surrounding community that we love.
Your pastor and church board did not make this decision because of fear or pressure from outside entities. We are only pausing our gatherings because of Christ-like concern for you, your families, and your neighbors. We encourage you to participate in our online services and make an extra effort to connect with one another and encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ during this time.
We believe the church is an ESSENTIAL SERVICE and we are doing everything we can to navigate a very challenging year with unity and courage.
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10
